Saverio
Florio studied and received his "Laurea in Chemistry" at the University
of Bari (Italy) in 1967 under Professor Paolo E. Todesco's supervision. He
started his academic career at the same University of Bari as Assistant
Professor in 1969. He became Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry at the
University of Bari in 1982. Four years later, in 1986, he was appointed Full
Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University
of Lecce and in 1990 moved to the University of Bari, where he has been ever
since, as Full Professor of Organic Chemistry of the Faculty
of Pharmacy.
